a) Retract a review
b) Make them guarantee coverage
c) Print utter rubbish cos you want them to

This is how I feel about that:
a) Irritated
b) Disillusioned
c) Tired
d) Horny...
Right the last one is quite a common thing for me and actually has no relevance at all to any request. Its just my natural state of being.
So coming back to the original reason this post even came up, why do we have such weird requests.
It could be because:
a) Asia's media scene is quite under-developed, even if the country itself is developed
b) Asian culture is a more submissive one in many ways, so bullying is quite common
c) People are stupid and this happens all over the world
To clarify point 'a' - by under-developed I mean even though we have strong publications and all that, but the journalistic mentality is still not on par with more developed countries.
Again this is just my humble opinion borne out of 3.5 years of working in the PR industry. Don't get me wrong, i like it. The challenges and the things you learn are pretty awesome, but now and again you wonder, 'Is it really worth it?'
Peace.
